Glenfarclas Advent Calendar: Day 4
So, today’s dram is the rather yummy 105. It’s a bit of a beast at 60% vol. and it’s a beast that a Smoggy can take.
Cask strength and a delight I first sampled years back in Edinburgh on my “what the heck was that dram” fest…
The nose delivers sweet rich delicious sticky toffee, and apple. It’s rich and full. There’s a touch of oak and some spiciness that just sit well together. The palate is full and bold. It’s a touch dry and the flavours of oak are pleasant with it. Lovely tastes of sherry laced spicy fruitcake. A warmth in the throat as I’m enjoying the finish.
